The Seminar Track: Students who are interested in learning to conduct may apply for a spot in this selective program. Seminar Track participants engage in a weekly seminar where they gain hands-on experience and constructive feedback through master classes with university professors and through regular opportunities to conduct the choir in rehearsals and performances. Due to COVID-19, the seminar track will not be held this school year, but students interested in conducting may sign up for any of the Choral Conducting Workshops we are offering via Zoom.
The Choir Track: Accomplished high school and college-aged singers may audition to participate in the Choir Track, where they will participate in choral clinics with university professors, and sing under the direction of the program director as well as the seminar participants. Due to COVID-19, the choir track will not be held this school year.
Visiting Conductors: In non-COVID times, students in both tracks get the chance to work with Directors of Choral Studies from universities such as JMU, GMU, CNU, Radford, Shenandoah, VCU, WLU, and VWU.
